PLACE credits

The short version

  • Core PLACE features are free. Credits pay for extras that cost PLACE money each time they're used, such as AI pictures.
  • 1 credit = A$0.10. Packs: A$5 for 50 credits, A$20 for 220 credits, A$50 for 600 credits. Prices include GST.
  • Your first 2 AI pictures are free with a PLACE account, once (not each day). After that, each AI picture is 10 credits.
  • You're only charged when it works. If a picture fails, or the AI changes the building, the credits come back automatically.
  • Credits never expire. Unused credits can be refunded to your card within 30 days of purchase.
  • Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. What you're buying

PLACE credits are prepaid credits for optional extras in PLACE. Credits belong to your PLACE account. You need to be signed in to buy or use them. They aren't money, can't be transferred to another account and can't be exchanged for cash, except as a refund under these terms or the law.

Items marked "coming soon" can't be bought yet. We'll show the price in credits before you spend any.

2. Free AI pictures

Each person gets 2 free AI pictures with a PLACE account, once. To keep this fair, free pictures need a verified sign-in, and we also limit how many free pictures can be made from one browser and one internet connection. If those limits are reached, pictures cost credits as usual. We never give free credits.

3. AI pictures are artistic impressions

AI pictures are made by an AI model from your 3D view. They're artistic impressions, not accurate representations of the design, the block or a finished home. The AI may change details such as materials, landscaping or the surroundings. PLACE checks each picture against your design and makes it again if the building has changed.

4. When credits come back to you

We only take credits when an extra works. Your credits come back automatically if a picture:

  • fails, times out or doesn't produce a picture;
  • is blocked by our own or our AI provider's safety filters; or
  • changes the building, so it doesn't hold to your design. You can also tell us with "The building doesn't match the design" within 15 minutes of a picture.

If a picture is faulty in another way, email hello@placetechnologies.com and we'll make it again or return the credits.

5. Results you don't like

AI output varies each time, and taste is personal. Apart from clause 4 and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we don't give refunds or credits back because you changed your mind or prefer a different result. You can describe the picture you'd like before making it, and ask for changes.

6. Unused credits and refunds

Credits don't expire. You can ask for a refund of unused credits within 30 days of buying them, from your PLACE credits page. We refund to your original payment method, at the price you paid per credit in that pack. We don't give refunds for change of mind on credits you've already used. If we withdraw an extra or materially reduce it, we'll refund unused credits bought for it, pro rata.

7. Prices and GST

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payments are made through Stripe; PLACE never sees your card details. We may change pack prices or what extras cost in future, but never for credits already in your account, and we'll show the price before you spend credits.

8. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights. These include the right to have services provided with due care and skill, and a remedy if they're not.

9. Using your pictures

You may share your AI pictures for personal use and when talking to modular manufacturers and lenders. Pictures must not be presented as photographs of a built home, or as an accurate depiction of the design, the block or a planning outcome. PLACE Collection designs remain Designed for PLACE; using the design itself needs a design licence.
